FORMA's drug discovery engine is driven by major platform science
Despite great hopes that evaluating the human genome would rapidly lead to personalized medicines, the reality is that drug discovery is still variable, requiring substantial, iterative rounds of chemical optimization and biological studies for compounds to reach drug candidate stage. FORMA’s approach to making rapid and relevant decisions is enabled by exploring broad protein families in parallel, thereby providing rapid insights into the degree of quality chemical matter and overall selectivity profile as starting points.
In our first five years, we explored over 110 targets across our core focus areas of tumor metabolism, epigenetics, protein homeostasis and other essential protein-protein interactions. Several continuously evolving platforms support the initial stages of discovery and speed the progress of our pipeline:
